HOPE Ministries is hosting a series of free informational sessions for pantry clients, featuring trusted community partners who will share practical financial and legal guidance to support stability and peace of mind.
These short, accessible sessions are designed to help clients better understand everyday financial topics, banking basics, and common legal questions. Participants are encouraged to attend, listen, and ask questions in a welcoming environment.
All sessions begin at 8:00 AM and are free for HOPE Pantry clients.

BRG Care on the Go Mobile Health Unit Coming to HOPE Ministries
HOPE Ministries of Baton Rouge is excited to welcome BRG Care on the Go, a mobile health unit bringing convenient primary and urgent care services directly to our community!
Beginning Monday, September 21, 2026, BRG Care on the Go will be at HOPE Ministries every third Monday of the month from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
BRG Care on the Go provides quality healthcare services in a comfortable, convenient setting. Everyone is welcome, including individuals who do not have health insurance. Walk-ins are accepted, but appointments are encouraged when possible.

Understanding The Dynamics of Poverty

HOPE’s professional development training, Understanding the Dynamics of Poverty©, is a six-hour interactive training for social workers, teachers, clergy, nonprofit leaders, and anyone who wants to understand how generational poverty impacts our community. Topics such as the causes of poverty, quality of life indicators, effects of language on poverty, challenges of budgeting, and learned behaviors are covered in great detail, helping participants appreciate the differences in people coming from varied socioeconomic backgrounds. These workshops are held throughout Louisiana.
The Understanding the Dynamics of Poverty© training is approved for six (6) hours of general continuing education by the National Association of Social Workers, Louisiana Chapter as authorized by the Louisiana State Board of Social Work Examiners.
