Resources on Poverty and Homelessness

In Council for a Better Louisiana's 2009 Louisiana Fact Book you can find many enlightening statistics on our state. Did you know that 22.7% of Louisiana's children live in poverty? Contemplating these numbers might make you sad, but thankfully more than 2/3 of Louisianians contribute to the 1,100 nonprofit organizations working to make our state a better place and more than 1/3 of Louisianians volunteer their time at those nonprofits.
